After receiving a Master in Engineering and management at the GMI University in Flint, Michigan, USA, and an Engineering diploma in Automotive Industry at ESTACA, Jean- Pierre Gommendy worked for five years in his owned GO Kart company. Then he moved into the General Motors Opel organization leading sales and marketing in Europe and USA.
He joined Delco Remy as sales manager and developed a Joint-venture in China for local generators and cranking motors production.
After seventeen years with GM, Jean-Pierre moved to Valeo for nine years as branch sales director of international affairs then sales and projects director. Jean-Pierre launched client director concept within Valeo, then was involved in the Valeo service organization as OES sales coordinator director.
During more than five years, Jean-Pierre was involved in the highest level of automotive racing, in driver management, B to B and B to C business management development.
As executive recruiter in automotive industry, Jean-Pierre serves a broad spectrum of clients; retail, industrial and professional services firms, supporting their international expansion. Jean-Pierre is 58 years old and speaks fluent French and English.
