Jean-Philippe THOMÉ studied mechanical and acoustical engineering at the University of Technology of Compiègne (France) where he graduated as a PhD in Acoustics and Materials.
Master of Science in Acoustics and Structural Dynamics, from the prestigious Institute of Sound & Vibration Research (ISVR) of the University of Southampton (UK), he is today aknowledged as an NVH expert both in building, industry, & transportation fields. He also teached acoustics and vibration in several post graduate french schools (ESTACA, ESSTIN, etc ...)
During 10 years, Jean-Philippe THOMÉ was leader of a Research Team at the National Institute for Health and Safety at Work (INRS), devoted to noise reduction of machinery by action on the noise sources.
Then he left INRS to lead the Acoustic Laboratory as Director of the lab, at Rieter Automotive France, a major Tier 1 automotive supplier dealing with acoustic treatment of road vehicles.
After sucessfull businesses in the french market, he was detached 3 years later, to Group Headquarters at Winterthur (Switzerland), where he took the responsability of «International Business Development Manager », and where he was in charge of worlwide advanced projects management. As a consequence, he oriented long-term Rieter group strategy.
Trained to « Corporate Strategy Management » by Professor C.K. PRAHALAD* from Michigan University at Ann Arbor (U.S.A.), he was also in charge of technology watching and new strategy communication worldwide both internally and externally mainly towards main car manufacturers.
He left RIETER Automotive, 4 years later, to start a new challenge , as a consultant in « Global comfort engineering », and created a start-up company, ACOUDESIGN. His experience in strategy and marketing, that he’s also teaching (in english) in the «Master in International Business Development » program of joined ESIEE and Sup de Co Amiens, allows him fast and sucessfull businesses in the field of « global comfort » for equipments and premises requiring high acoustic performances, on the basis of an international patent. he was also manager of several projects in the frame of a comprehensive european program in Active Noise Control (InMAR). In january 2009, he funds TEAM AUTO CONSULTING with 12 associates.
Many customers, within the most prestigious ones, trusted his skills and experience as a major project manager to lead advanced projects both in the field of acoustic & vibrations and in other area, (aerospace, automotive, railway, energy, etc...).
Jean-Philippe THOME is also accreditated as aerospace consultant by S.P.A.C.E. organization to support suppliers and SME in the field of R&D and manufacturing.
