Graduated from Hautes Etudes Commerciales & Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable Supérieure, Michel d’Esquerre developed his career within worldwide size car equipment manufacturers, Valeo, Varta-Bosch, Pirelli & Johnson Controls with over 10 years of practice in General Manager positions (Subs & BU) supervising up to 350 employees and 120 Mios € turnover.
Along his carreer he held high responsability positions in the field of general management, controlling, sales, marketing & logistics. His expertise focuses on distribution strategies, plans of commercial recovery and redeployment, mergers & acquisitions, reorganizations and cost reduction, value creation from waste recovery & recycling.
As General Manager of Pneus Pirelli from 1997 to 2000, he transformed regional commercial organization into national organization specialised in sales channels (40 salesmen). He increased sales by 25% and net result by 4 points in 3 years in a competitive market.
As General Manager of Johnson Controls batteries France from 2001 to 2006, he redesigned a profitable growth strategy, gained 20 points market share in 5 years and became N° 1 in France, while reducing by 30% distribution costs.
He integrated Delphi batteries activity in Johnson Controls batteries France for a 20 Mios € turnover. Integration achieved in 3 months with a gain of 4 points market share and 5 Mios € the following year.
As Director Lead Recycling & Trading Johnson Controls Power Solutions Europe from 2007 to 2010, he designed and implemented the used batteries Recycling Business Unit in France & Benelux. He obtained in 2 years a 45% return rate with 3 000 collection points, generating an ebit of 3 Mios € thanks to recycled lead.
He left Johnson Controls in 2010 and founded MdE Consulting to bring his expertise in commercial strategies redeployment, performance improvement, companies integrations and cost reduction. He currently holds interim management and consulting missions, notably for Mobivia Groupe (Norauto, Maxauto, Midas, Carter Cash, Synchro Diffusion, Auto 5).
He joined Team Auto Consulting in 2011 as Partner, to offer his skills and, all together, speed up growth and performance of his customers.
